This winter, Melbourne’s RISING Festival is back with a flash, bringing an array of arts and cultural performances to the city centre.
If you haven’t heard of RISING, it’s an annual celebration of new art, music, and performance right in the heart of Melbourne. RISING returns this year from 4–15th June 2026 – and it’s going to be spectacular!
Highlights
If you’re an arts enthusiast, spark joy this June with a visit to Melbourne during RISING Festival. Hundreds of local and international artists take part every year, with creations scattered across the city.
This year, savour the lights, colours, and sounds of edgy performances like ‘Defend the Throne’ with The Royal Family Dance Crew, and ‘The Vinyl Factory: Reverb’ which will feature multi-sensory immersive works by artists such as Stan Douglas, Jenn Nkiru, and William Kentridge.
‘Head into town and let Reverb spin you round (right round, round round).’
